The first week of Second Grade has been great!
It's wonderful getting to know the kids.
English
- Working with nouns, verbs, and adjectives
- a Mad Libs activity
- Getting books in English from the library
- Learning about emotions...poetry to come!
Science
- The needs of living things
- Plants and Animals: Similarities and Differences
Math
- Multiplication
- Organizing and Understanding Word Problems
- Number Sense: Hundreds/Tens/Ones
Homework:
- If any child wants to "decorate" the desk, please feel free to take in appropriate pictures and/or "wrapping paper", etc, to place in the bottoms of the desks...no stickers, please :)
- A packet of 8 information papers has gone home today (Johannes skola important information). Please fill out and bring back by next Wednesday.
